PHIL's Positive-Seal Autogate® Tailgate is a unique version designed for clients that cannot lose any liquid material through leakage during the haul cycle. Through the addition of a steel flange welded to the rear floor and sides of the truck body, our unique Positive Seal Tailgate lowers into hooks placed on either side of the flange and through gravity, an over-center locking mechanism compresses the rear center section of the tailgate into the flange. This steel-on-steel seal, which is under pressure, provides a leakproof seal. In certain situations, a rubber gasket may be necessary.
