PHIL Insulated & Heated Water Tanks for Cold Weather Climates are specifically designed to house the water pump and all necessary valving within the confines of the water tank footprint, in an external, man-accessible compartment. The tank structure includes a three-layer sandwiched double-wall skin providing excellent insulation, minimizing the chances of the internal water freezing. For use in ultra-extreme environments, such as when our tanks are used in building remote ice roads in Alaska and in Canada, or within large arctic mines, which are meant to keep the water and plumbing from becoming frozen in environments as cold as -40° F/C.
Engineered to keep water from freezing to -40° F/C
Built from unique corrosion-resistant high strength steel
Three-layered insulated tank construction
Remote Power Ready — diesel reserve or plug-in grid power
Each tank is outfitted exactly how you want for your specific operation
Each function is individually controlled for ultimate water dispersion & control
The interior of each PHIL water tank is engineered to minimize confined space concerns. Our patented external/internal access door system incorporates front and rear bulkhead access man doors, top of tank access points, and built-in interior access baffle doors. Our water tank's external construction includes a unique flat top that is sloped at only 1½ degrees.
Built using the highest strength steel available — and when put into corrosive environments, we offer enhanced corrosive-resistant steel or sacrificial anodes to provide long tank life. The steel we use is five times stronger than ordinary mild steel and a minimum of three times stronger than steel typically used in water tanks.
Our patented fluid tank baffling system ensures solid vehicle control in any application. This exclusive anti-surge stabilizing system provides front-to-back baffling and a full-height/full-length center Backbone™ structure. The tank support structure consists of an exclusive exterior frame rail and cross bolster tank-to-chassis mounting system that parallels the truck chassis frame for a lower center of gravity. We use 165,000 psi minimum yield steel to provide the strongest, best subfloor structure on the market.
Our Water Tank comes equipped with an in-cab controlled water cannon that allows the disbursement of water from 90 to 150 feet with absolute control and accuracy. The water pump system employs an exclusive and patented "Soft-Start/Soft-Stop" single combination hydraulic valve. The tank's exclusive "Variable Volume" adjustment allows you to adjust the water volume of the tank in less than five minutes.
